Living up to the social and environmental standards of today, it is not enough to only account for direct emissions from stores and offices. At Pas Normal Studios, we are working to quantify the impact of our entire value chain – from water consumption in the fabrics we choose to CO2 emissions used to transport our products.
This is no easy task, but we now have a dedicated team working on our impact and responsibility plans.

We utilise synthetic materials in a variety of forms, from fibers, to bottles to packaging. While these materials provide the qualities needed for high-quality, uncompromising cycling wear (and sports apparel in general), they are not a sustainable option because they are derived from non-renewable resources.
To create cycling wear in uncompromising quality with sustainable materials is likely going to be our most daunting challenge as a company.

Most of the apparel industry is built around the linear model of ‘take-make-dispose’. In contrast, the circular model redefines growth, and focuses on the re-circulation of materials. In this way, product circularity promises multiple benefits to the environment, including reduced resource demand, reduced pollution, and reduced waste.
We would love to offer more product circularity initiatives to our customers. The biggest challenge we face involves building an ecosystem & infrastructure around product circularity. This infrastructure allows us to build bridges between the ‘use’ and the ‘reuse’ and design products to facilitate circularity.
